Andrew Luck is out for week one.

Colts GM Chris Ballard made it official this morning and stated that Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck will miss Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Ballard spoke to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star and said that Luck is a “competitor” and that he is in “the best place he’s been” mentally. Unfortunately for Luck, he isn’t in the best place physically as he has yet to practice with his teammates since he underwent shoulder surgery in January.

Chuck Pagano said that his QB was feeling great and will get going when it is time. Pagano said that in June at a Colts town hall event. It is September now and there is still no word on when Andrew Luck will return to the team.
